Our Skin the largest Organ on the body
The skin obviously is the largest organ on our body. It covers one’s body from the head to the toes. People’s skin appears in various color and complexions. This is much contributed by hereditary factors which am not ready to delve into. But to mention a bit about our skin, what determines the skin color is a substance referred to as melanin. One may have dark skin, heavy or light skin.
Why skin is important
As we hard mentioned earlier, the skin covers the biggest part of the body. It protects the inner parts of the body, and therefore deeply regarded by everyone. The skin has the minute pores on it’s upper layer, the wastes through sweat passes through. It has osmoregulators underneath that controls one’s body temperature. The good appearance of the skin also portrays someones overall health from inside. Therefore should not be taken for granted. On top that, it is highly regarded and pampered by ladies as this will portray their beauty. Incase the appearance of the skin is good, that can lead to low self esteem.
How should you care for your skin
Skin covers all parts of the body and therefore very exposed to the major and minor injuries. As much as it can be able to ill faster by formation new skin cells, it should be properly cared for. The skin need to pampered to look good. Scrub it with a soft washing sponge while bathing. Use mild soaps as the harsh one may have irritants that results into allergic skin reactions. Ensure that any injury on the skin is properly treated to ill faster before it is infected.
You can apply skin friendly oil and creams that are dermatology tested. Remember that, some personal items such as combs, towels, hearings and many others are are not shared. Pets beddings should normally washed or treated with germ killers.
Drink enough water and juices as this prevents skin dehydration that causes dry skin. Water (fluids) helps the skin to recover moisture which was lost through sweat and urination; moisture makes skin look soft and thereby prevents irritation that may lead to scratching.
Using a lot of sugary drinks are not good to the skin health. One needs to avoid them altogether. Instead natural honey can do good on your skin when applied in form of oil or cream.
Massage your skin occasionally at skin care professionals. Do not over apply tattoo on your skin. When properly applied, may only cover ten percent of one’s skin. Do all that, you will be surprised how your safe.
